Pest Control

Pest control is the regulation or management of a species defined as a pest, a member of the animal kingdom that impacts adversely on human activities. Out of sight doesn’t always mean out of mind. Household pests like mosquitos, ants, cockroaches, and rodents can be much more than a nuisance – they can become a threat to your property and potentially your health. We are here to make sure that we protect your space and person. We are EPA certified and take health and safety measures seriously. Ignoring these things as most do in Ghana is negligent and can harm human lives. We use the appropriate chemicals and equipment to deliver the best possible results.

Flying Insects

Rodents and other Pests

Mosquito bites can be more than just annoying and itchy. They can spread viruses that make you sick or, in rare cases, cause death. Beyond the nuisance factor, mosquitoes are carriers, or vectors, for some of humanity’s most deadly illnesses, and they are public enemy number one in the fight against global infectious disease. Mosquito-borne diseases cause millions of deaths worldwide every year with a disproportionate effect on children and the elderly in developing countries.

It has actually been proven that one in five children are extremely sensitive to allergens that cockroaches spread. The allergens that they spread can cause severe asthmatic episodes to occur. Allergens are spread through their saliva, droppings and by their dead bodies as the body begins to decompose. They also spread more than thirty different types of bacteria. Your health can be at risk from the six different kinds of parasitic worm they carry. The can also carry E. Coli and salmonella. Food, countertops, and just about anything else within your home can be contaminated by these nuisances.

The true flies are insects, scientifically known as Diptera which means two winged species. This large group consists of around 120,000 species worldwide but it is believed that more of the same amount are still not described. It is one of the major insect orders in terms of both ecological and human (medical and economic) importance. While the majority is beneficial and of great importance to their local ecosystems only a dozen or so species are associated with human habitations while about a handful species are well known as pests. Species like the House, Blue, Green and Flesh flies can be very loyal to our establishments and these are the ones that should be treated as pests. As a world wide perspective Diptera, in particular the mosquitoes (Culicidae), are of great importance in disease transmitters, acting as vectors for malaria, dengue, West Nile virus, yellow fever, encephalitis and other infectious diseases.
